At street elevation the residence takes subtle cues from the neighbouring properties in the way of form and material references.
The residence reinterprets its findings with the striking facade that maintains a level of integration throughout.
The central courtyard presents as an enclosed oasis in the middle of the residence and views are created through the courtyard to the living, dining, kitchen areas and across to the family and master bedroom wing, where the lines between internal and external spaces are blurred.
The plan of the residence is formed around this courtyard and almost every room faces directly into the green space.
Scope
- Site preparation.
- Civil works and installation of services.
- Completion of build to client and Consulting Architect specifications.
- Furnishings and fittings fit-out.
The final product is as much about the journey from entering the residence to the rear of the residence as it is about the connection between the spaces within the house.
As a young family residence, observation between spaces was important to the clients and equally important was the ability to make use of the outdoor spaces all year round.
